Trichotillomania – self inflicted by tugging on the hair and pulling it out
Face Lift – This surgical procedure can alter the hair line and temporal points.

  3. What are the contributing factors for female hair loss?

Some factors can be medical such as menopause, post pregnancy, diabetes and thyroid disease. With the proper treatment, the hair loss can be resolved. Family genetics also play apart in hair loss for women.

  4. What can I do to stop my hair loss?

Dr. Koher is able to supply you with several options that will aid in your hair loss. Rogaine for Women and Low Level Light Therapy can aid in keeping your own natural growing hair. Hair Transplant Surgery can replace the areas of loss. Hair loss is an ongoing process, so getting started sooner rather than later makes for a better outcome

  5. Can Dr. Koher help me with my thinning eyebrows?

Eyebrow transplantation is similar to hair transplantation but on a much smaller scale. Dr. Koher can restore the eyebrows length, arch and the natural angles of each individual hair in the eyebrow. Giving you a beautiful cosmetic result.

  6. What about cutting, coloring, or perming my hair prior and after surgery?

The best thing is to have your hair colored, permed, and/or cut 2 to 3 weeks prior to your hair transplant surgery. After the surgery, we ask that you allow at least 6 weeks before you get a hair cut or color. Perming your hair should be discussed with Dr. Koher at the time of your surgery. Six weeks may not be a sufficient amount of time after your surgery.

  7. Can Hair Transplants really help women?

Hair transplants is your own natural, growing hair placed in the hair loss areas. It is nature perfect fit. We are rearranging the hair follicles to areas that are thinning or have complete hair loss. The hair that is transplanted grows just like your own hair because it is your own hair. You can not tell the difference between the existing hair or the transplanted hair.
